Notion is the backbone of everything I do. Not because it's the best tool — but because it's the most flexible one. When you wire Notion to Claude via the MCP server, it becomes something much more powerful than a note-taking app. It becomes a content command center.
The Four Core Databases
Ideas — Raw capture. Title, one-line description, category tag, source. That's it. No friction. I add 3-5 ideas per day.
Pipeline — Active production. Status (Draft/Review/Edit/Schedule/Published), assigned platform, target date, word count, linked idea. This is where work happens.
Published — The archive. Every piece I've published, with performance metrics, engagement data, and a 'Repurpose?' checkbox.
Repurpose — The recycling engine. Takes high-performing published content and queues it for adaptation to other platforms.
The Automation Layer
Every database is connected to Claude via Notion's MCP server. When I move an Idea to Pipeline, Claude automatically generates an outline. When I mark a Pipeline item as 'Review,' Claude runs a brand voice check. When I publish, Claude generates repurposed versions for LinkedIn, email, and social. The system does the repetitive work; I do the creative work.
